Gmail id scammed

I shared my email id and password with my only friend whom i trusted for 1 year. But 3 days ago he changed password and everything and scammed my gmail id. He asked for 4k rs in WhatsApp but later deleted all chat so i couldn't take a screenshot as a proof. i am of 17years age and i dont want to inform it to my parents. I dont want to punish him (jail or penalty) , just want the account back. What should I do now?
And i tried to recover by contacting google, but they are totally useless,
i want to file complaint in online cybercrime portal to get help from cyberpolice just to get my account back , but i dont want my parents to know about all these, is this possible?

Your online complaints may be also waste. Better lodge complaint in person. You must have learnt a lesson from this.

The best advice would to talk to your parents as you are still minor but still I can guide you how to complain.
For offline
You can register a cyber crime FIR at the nearest local police station to report them. It is mandatory under Section 154, Code of Criminal Procedure, for every police officer to record the information/complaint of an offense, irrespective of the jurisdiction in which the crime was committed.
For online
Visit the website of cyber cell https://cybercrime.gov.in/
