Creamy layer certificate

I am working at govt organization in Group-C post , my income is 8.5 lac per annum.. my parents are from agriculture background and their income is not more than 1lac..
Now I want to claim GM- Rural reservation in state govt recruitments in Karnataka.
Do I belong to non Creamy layer..?
Whose income and status is considered for Creamy layer..?
Can I claim GM- Rural quota?
A.Dear Client,
Anyone with an income above 8 lakh falls under the Creamy Layer. Yes, you're eligible if If the place where the candidate had studied from 1st to 10th standard comes under rural area at the time of his / her studies, he/she will be eligible under rural quota, even though the same place has been declared as an urban area in later days.

Be understand that candidates income will not be considered for issuing such certificate and your parents income will be considered and thus you are eligible.
