Action Against a Interior Compnay

Hello .. I had hired an interior company for designing my house, and the promised date of completion was 20th feb'2022. They havent done anything as of now, and have stopped picking up calls and stuff, they are just delaying and have caused mental touture. I want the whole money back as a refund and would like to penalise them. Need advice for the same how to proceed.

A.You can issue them legal notice and if they don't comply or reply to the same in 15 days you can file a civil case for recovery of money or a summary suit if there is any written contract to that effect against the other side in the Court of your concerned jurisdictional area where you reside. Thank you.
As per the facts mentioned, you may issue a legal notice to the designer to complete the work as promised in quality and time and further for the default pay the compensation amount.
Then after that if no steps taken by the designer then file a consumer complaint before the District consumer forum for deficiency of services, delay and ask compensation for bad quality of work and mental agony and delay.
