an employee met an accident while going to duty on the way to his workplace. whether he is covered in ESIC. What are the formalities to be done by employer so that employee can get ESIC benefit.
A.Dear Sir,
The employer must immediately inform the concerned authorities and built up all the records which are necessary to establish that your employee was on the way of his work place and met with accident etc. Such version must also be found in the complaint lodged before the Police etc.

As per the facts mentioned investigation is done by ESIC/Branch Office. If found that accident happened during the course and out of employment, accident is accepted as Employment Injury. Insured person can claim for Temporary Disability Benefit and payment is done at 90 per cent of wages so long as disability continues.
