Hello sir, just saw your reels on insta and got to know about you.
I have a question.

I was living at a place on rent, but didn't do any agreement. Everything was fixed verbally. And now later on, I wasn't there for a month and a half at the place but I still paid the whole rent and, without asking my consent, the owner let other person live in it and took money aslo from him and told me on call that he will give me the money back once I come there, as I had already paid the rent Even if they kept someone, the rent is always fixed and they cannot extra right? But he didn't give me the money which that boy gave him even after telling me that he will give, also he didn't give the deposit back.

And I didn't record the call, but everything happened in front of the boy, who have the owner but now I asked him for help ki tell me exactly what amount did he give n all, I know the amount and even he knows but he isn't helping me in this.

I don't know now what to do and how take my money back from the owner.

Please can tell something on this. I'm a student here and I don't even know much about these things. I've lost money and in mind just this things goes on. It troubles me, I can't even sleep properly. Please help out if possible sir.

Anik

A.Dear Client,

If you have rent receipts or any proof of payment of rent of the said month then you can file a complaint against the landlord.

A.Dear Sir,
Even oral tenancy is valid and you can get back your advanced amount which is with the landlord. You may approach the local police or get issue legal notice followed by civil suit if required.
