Property - My Father is living in a house

My Father is living in a house which is built by my grand father since 40 years. Just wanted to know whether if there is no evidence of papers pertaining to my grand father, can my father claim this as self-acquired property and sell to out siders without the consent of children?
A.Dear client, I case your grandfather did not left behind any will then the property will pass to all his children as per the Hindu Succession Act and your father cannot sell the property on his own.
