I am 81 yrs sr citizen. I want to write as follows in my will. :-
1) I appoint my son mr. ..... executor of my will.
2) I give my all assets to my wife consisting of a plot with a bungalow in it; cash in my bank accounts; various investments; gold and silver ornaments. A separate list of all is enclosed. She can use these as per her free wish but with following conditions. As far as possible she should take care to make proper investments so that money grows and the principal amount should not go below the amount she received with this will.
3) She should not sell the plot and bungalow in her life time.
4) After her ( demise ) the assets should be distributed as follows. . . The bungalow should be given to our only son. The balance money should be distributed between my son and daughters as per following percentages. If any of them is not surviving their share should be equally distributed between their siblings.
Can I write as above in my will ? Will it be treated as valid and legal ? Kindly reply in detail.
