Change of apartment number Change of apartment number

I own a 1550 sqft apartment in the outskirts of Chennai. While we registered the apartment was H1 205 In tower 18.However as the builder is building a few more towers the apartment number of mine is changed from 205 to 201.Everything else remain the same. The promotors have sent an agreement which says there is no change to anything thing else(UDS,parking ) but just that the apartment number which was H1 205 in tower 18 is now H1 201 in tower 18.Is there something for us to worry? Would there be an issue while i sell this property?

A.Dear client, Any change in the property details have to be accommodated in the Sale Deed which was registered with the sub registrar. You need to have an amendment in the Sale Deed by registering a correction deed as the number has changed.

A.If the promoter is willing to execute another agreement for such change then kindly request him to execute a rectification deed of your registered sale deed for your existing flat. Then the new details will be rectified in your sale deed and it should be registered also. Then you will have no problem in future in respect of your existing flat. With reference to the new registered rectified sale deed you can even do the necessary correction in the records of the local municipality also.
