I work in a PSU. I have signed (on stamp paper of 100 rs amount) an employment bond of 40 lakh (10 years) non depreciating for scholarship given for higher study at UK. Is this legal or I can challenge this bond or quit without paying.

A.When you joined the Company you signed the contract which is the bond. If you are leaving the company then there violation of the Contract from your end. The Violations and it's effects will be stated in the Contract itself. Even if you plan to escape without informing the Company to avoid penalty the Company may withhold your Relieving Certificate or Order that could jeopardise your future employment prospects.
