I had joined current company on 23rd Oct 2017 and my last working day with this company would be 23 Sep 2022. I know 1 month short of completing 5 years but I have got a good opportunity which I can't afford to miss. Please guide how should I ask the current employer for gratuity of 4 years 11 months. What is the procedure as I am getting a feeling that the employer will not give my gratuity. Kindly guide please. With Gratitude.

A.Yes sir you're eligible for gratuity with 4 years and 11months of service. You need to apply and send the application for gratuity to the employer; Once the application is received, it is acknowledged and the amount of gratuity is calculated for further procedures; and. The employer pays the gratuity within a time frame of 30 days after disbursement of acknowledgement.
