Car parking encroachment

My neighbour is encroaching 5 to 10% of my car parking space in the apartment building. The car parking is clearly marked with yellow line in the site. I have paid for the parking and the registered document and mentions the amount paid for the designated car park. What are the options for legal action? Should I approach court or police station?

First of all you should try to reach out to your apartment association and lodge a complaint with them. They should be able to resolve this issue and if not then you can issue a legal notice to that neighbour. At the same time whenever he is parking that way try to click a picture to be used as evidence.

2. If they won't listen, Lodge a complaint to the secretary of your Association immediately seeking remedial action.
3. If he fails to take any action, lodge a police complaint after collecting evidence of his such illegal parking and also ill behavior with you in the form of audio/video recording the conversations.
4. If police fails or refuses to take any remedial action, file a Writ Petition before the High Court against police inaction praying for relief and justice.
