Caste Certificate - Residence proof before 1961 is required Caste Certificate - Residence proof before 1961 is required

Residence proof before 1961 is required in Maharashtra for NT Caste Certificate as per the Gazette of 2012, but that is brushed aside by HC and fresh Gazette of 2017 by GoM. However, every Tehsildar Office is still insisting on residence proof before 1961 as per the 2012 Gazette. How to overcome the jinx, if I do not have residence proof (even though my grandfather was residing from around 1930)? We only have residence proof from 1963 onwards.

A.Dear client,
If the recent 2017 gazette says that, then the latest one will prevail over 2012 one. You can file an RTI seeking the same by following the below steps:
Step 1: Login/Register at RTI Guru with all the basic details like; Name, Email, Mobile No., Country, etc. and verify your email and mobile no. by entering OTP.
Step 2: Go to Apply Now and choose the category of your RTI. Whether it is Personal, Social or other RTI.
Step 3: Fill the form and hit submit.
Step 4: Choose your plan and proceed.

If they still tell that the 2012 gazette should be followed, then it's better to file a writ petition with the help of an experienced lawyer as HC has already upheld it.
