There are different types of VISAs available by VISA issuing country which varies VISA on arrival to get VISA before leaving your home country i.e., India.There is a possibility of getting VISA to Australia if the Applicant conceals the criminal record.If there is a column in the Application Form , you have to give the correct answer failing which your VISA application is likely to be rejected or even after issuance it may be cancelled.Better to check with Australian High Commission either in Delhi or nearest consulate of your place of residence.
In case of criminal offence, there is a treaty by which you may be brought in through extradition.
So, one has to be careful about the law and type of offence he/she has committed.
