Insurance Appeal

My father owned a pickup truck that got in an accident a couple years back, we fought the case and finally won (in the court of Kanpur). We are scheduled to receive the cheque from the court tomorrow. However, the insurance company has raised an appeal in Lucknow court that my father used ill means to get the money. The concern is that should we collect the money or what exactly should be done in this case.

If the insurance company has filed an appeal that means that you cannot get the money because they will ask for a stay on the previous judgement. So, you will have to fight for the case again.
