Friend not returning money and escaped the city. Friend not returning money and escaped the city.

A friend along with his wife and other family altogether borrowed lakhs of money from few of us friends and suddenly disappeared from the city. His family in 24 hrs of his escaping filed a missing report without asking his whereabouts to ANY of his friends or relatives. The family is surely involved in eloping him away and are not answering our calls or letting us talk to them at their home. Even they are not pressurizing police to act on their missing report, they dnt even visit the police station to take any updates. The police station TI is refusing to register an FIR. We are clueless and dnt knw how to get all of them under criminal conviction. We all have several checks and agreement and whatsapp chats to prove everything.

A.Dear Client
So, if the police refuse to file FIR, the aggrieved party has several rights to pursue criminal or any other complaint. People can approach the local magistrate or the local court to file a complaint.
Hope it helps.
