Earned Leave - Encashment

Is earned leave encashment mandatory as per the Industrial Employment (standing orders ) Act 1946?
Can the company leave policy mention as - EL will be adjusted in the notice period / when the employee leaves the company & there will be no encashment of EL
A.Dear Client,
It can only be given for 8 days leave and also after giving notice of taking leave and it is only given to the workmen who is working for 240 days during a continous period.
