GST charged on commission from employer
Hello team,
I am working for a company where I make sales call working from home pitching the company's online product (course). I work on a 10% commission basis on each sale and the average price of the product is around 4k. So, they usually release the payout at the end of the month collectively and they deducted 1% GST and 18% GST on the "total revenue" I generated for the month of January and therefore applying 10% commission on the deducted revenue income after GST. I would like to know if this is legal? If not then what can I do?
A.GST is an application for service provided, hence you are liable for GST. This GST you can adjust wherever you want to pay when utilizing services from others.
