What all proofs will police consider for FIR under 498A

A.Hi client,

You can take all the proof that you have . For such cases the victim herself attending the police station and complaining against the wrongdoings of the in laws are enough to lodge a case.
But evidences makes your case more stronger.
Proof like- body injury(physical torture), abuse, chats, witnesses who saw the person getting victimized, etc. are good documents.

A.You must start collecting as much evidence as possible, which includes: Any conversation between you or your family member with your wife or her relatives like any SMS, emails, letters, call recordings, etc. Any evidence that proves that your wife moved willingly out of your house.

A.Dear Sir,
In criminal case no proofs are required only the statements of witnesses under Section 161 of Cr.P.C are enough. You may produce your witnesses.
