Eviction not possible due to Medical emergency

I am living with my sister and mother in a rented flat in Kolkata for about 12 months and we were about to shift to a new place after this month since there was a little conflict with our flat owners over increase in rent. However, my sister met with an accident and after getting discharged from hospital, has been brought home. She is not in the condition to relocate and has multiple fractures in pelvic bone. Doctor has advised complete bed rest for 2 months. So, what can we do in this condition? We cannot move out now and the current flat owners mentioned they have already taken advance from another person and they will be moving in after the month completion.

Under Rent Control Act, the landlord cannot evict the tenant without sufficient reason or cause. Since you are having a valid reason for not leaving the house, the landlord cannot do anything.
