My grandfather's self Acquired property was passed on to my grandmother after his death. But after my grandmother took loan on the property she and her other 8 children have abandoned property. Bank auctioned property which was not in my father's notice. Can my father or myself claim the inheritance of the property which was sold to some other person through auction.
A.Hello Sir,
The time limit to claim ancestral property is around 12 years. However, if there is a valid reason for delaying the claim, the court may accept and process your request. If you want to file a civil suit to restrict the sale of your ancestral property, the same must be done within three years of the sale period.
