If the option of claiming RoDTEP was opted in the past export transactions but I do not want to claim the benefits now, what should I do?
A.If you have already opted for RoDTEP (Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products) benefits in your past export transactions but do not wish to claim the benefits now, you will need to take the following steps:
Notify your jurisdictional customs officer: You will need to inform your jurisdictional customs officer that you do not want to claim RoDTEP benefits for your current exports.
Amend your shipping bills: You will need to amend your shipping bills to remove the RoDTEP benefit claim. You can do this by submitting a request to your jurisdictional customs officer along with the necessary documentation.
Pay back the RoDTEP benefits claimed earlier: If you have already claimed RoDTEP benefits for your past export transactions and do not wish to claim them now, you will need to pay back the benefits claimed earlier. You can do this by submitting a request to your jurisdictional customs officer along with the necessary documentation.
