Whatsapp reply to advocate (Lawyer Notice) is acceptable?

Plz clarify.. if any lawyer notice received by registered Post..whatsapp reply to the same Advocate is acceptable or valid? where as the in the notice, there is no email of the advocate and registeration number of the advocate from Bar council is not found
A.Dear Sir,
Registration number of the Advocate may be traced out by visiting concerned Bar Council website. The Hon’ble Supreme Court says that WhatsApp messages and replies are not legal unless supported by corresponding reply through registered post.
