I have recently given my flat on rent last yr however my neighbour who stays in upper floor from my house complained societys secretary that he is been facing noice and vibration from my airconditioner used by my tenant..and being thoughtful me and my tenant decided untill we repair the Ac not to use it at night time and we communicated this to the secretary fr which he agreed. However after couple of days the secretary calls me and with the rude tone tells me that if you dont repair the Ac il put penalty on you. So pls let me know is this as per rule of societys byelaws that secretary can impose penalty for a random complaint made by my neighbour? Pls let me know

A.Hello Sir,
If they are really facing an issue then they can do it. Just repair the AC to avoid further penalty they can impose. Or if they are making false allegations then you can get a legal notice for that and give it to the concerned person.
