Maintenance - government employee in uttar pradesh
1 year ago
My son died on oct 3, 2022. he was a government employee in uttar pradesh. after death without any consent or determination of maintenance to mother or father the government department (vikas bhawan) gave mritak ashrit job(compensetory job) to his wife. Is mother and father are eligible for maintenance from that job?
A.Dear Sir,
You are entitled for 50% of terminal benefits of your deceased son and if you have no source of income then you can claim maintenance from your daughter-in-law.

A.Dear Client,
The Government document mentions 'dependent members' which does not mention parents (mother or father) in the list. However, immediate financial assistance if required to members related to the deceased can apply.
