How to take legal action on my father and help my marriage? How to take legal action on my father and help my marriage?

I love my boyfriend so much and I am willing to marry him,my mother knows about my relationship but my father doesn't. It's been a while now and as I'm studying btech 2nd year my mom didn't dare to tell my father about my relationship. My father is a quite powerful with the help of political leaders and he is a press reporter, afraid of his reaction we didn't dare to tell about my relationship. I want to be honest with my father but I'm afraid of his reaction. I may fear about being house arrested and beaten ruthlessly. My boyfriend is insisting to get married without considering my parents as I don't want to hurt my parents I'm struggling with the decision.
I have two options 1) To marry him without considering my parents. 2)To tell my father and face the consequences even if it's going to spoil my relationship.
I'm completely happy with my boyfriend and he is a well settled person,I don't want to hurt my boyfriend and my family.
Can you help me?
1)How to face my father and marriage?
