This is about me and my girlfriend. Both are from Hindu families.
Our marriage was initially scheduled to happen on the second half of this year. But in the middle we found out that she is pregnant and preponed the marriage to the first half. But due to some issues from her end she called off the marriage and went on to abort the kid. My parents called her parents down to talk but they were not very responsive hence I was disappointed and told her I won't be interested in this anymore. She is trying to rekindle the relationship but I told here that I'm not interested in the marriage and didn't reply to her further messages.
Now she and her family are starting to threaten me for legal actions. Will this have any consequence on me? I have proof of her calling off the marriage and saying that she'd abort the kid from her end (In text message). Since I am in a decent job I wouldn't want this to affect my career I would like to know what consequences this might cause. If they take legal action what can they do and how can I act against it?
