Death compensation

My father was an engineer at Cochin Shipyard Ltd.He passed away on 17th February 2012.His job was agreemented to my brother who was studying in class 12 has now completed his graduation but is not interested to go.As a daughter can I go instead?

You may file a representation before the concerned authority along with NOC from your brother and other members of the family and if you are representation is not considered positively within 15 days then approach High Court through Service Advocate.

You had not written correctly in the beginning.
Best thing for you would be to go to the Office of the Cochin Shipyard and meet the Administrative Officer/Personnel Officer.He/She will tell you the procedure established by law.No amount of advice will help .The other point which I would like to tell you to improve your English or your mother tongue so that you can communicate effectively.

If I have understood you correctly, then your brother got a job in Cochin Shipyard Ltd on compassionate ground after the death of your Father.Am I right?Now your brother wants to leave the job.It is fine. But, the job of your brother can not be given to you as your brother is living and it is not coming under that category.More important is that your family once have got the benefit under that scheme/ground.
Still you can check up with the Authorities.
Job in the shipyard is not hereditary and confined to some families.
