Landlord not refunding Advance Security deposit Landlord not refunding Advance Security deposit

Hi I paid 90,000 security deposit to my landlord on 30th April, 2023 for a newly constructed 3bhk apartment. But due to his very rude responses and behaviour towards my mother and inability to do the agreed works in the apartments such as basic clean up and other promised amenities being installed 1 week after the advance payments we changed our mind to not move into the apartment. I didn’t sign any rental agreement. He handed over the apartment in a very bad state and without some amenities such as missing lights in the bathroom. So I’m worried he won’t refund the 90,000 security deposit what steps can I take if he does not return the money and how long will it take if I go to the court to solve the matter.

A.Dear Client,
Do you have any money receipt for the payment made to your Landlord on 30/04/2023 or do you transfer the advance security deposit through Cheque or through online mode?
in case you got no receipt of your payment then it may be difficult to get back money from the landlord.
Wherever you go for redressal of your grievance you have to prove the payment by supporting documents and in the absence of that very document, the chance of getting back the advance from the landlord appears to be an almost difficult task for you.

He may either go to the Police Station and try to lodge a cheating case or go to Consumer Court or a Civil Court.
