Hi my biological father passed away last year. And he was taking care of me financially. But according to my biological mother , i got adopted legally when i was in 8th class as to not share the property. As we were 3 child . But according to all my govt documents and educational certificates my mother father name is of my biological parents. Now to clear the confusion if i ask for the adoption documents she does not show and neither help me financially after my father. What to do . Please help.

A.Good evening!
As per the Hindu Adoption and Maintenance Act,1956, an adopted child would still be entitled to the property from his biological family (only ancestral property). The adopted child cannot divest anyone of any property in the adopted family.
