My mother is an invalid - completely bed-ridden - how can her will be registered? Is registration of the will compulsory? What should be the denomination of the stamp paper used for making her will? There will be no dispute or anyone in my family challenging the will - is probate necessary?

A.Dear Sir.
If her mental status is not good and unable to understand then you cannot get Will from her. However, you can get a certificate from medical officer saying she is mentally fit to execute any document. Registration of Will is not compulsory.

A.Dear Client,

When an executor of a Will is unable to appear before the Registrar for registration of her will because of her adverse health condition, she may seek for the commissioning for its registration. In the process, Registrar will visit the executor for execution and registration of document. The cost of registration of Will is averagely minimal. Moreover, the Registration of documents ensures its evidentiary value and enforceability.
