Repairs of wall by tenant Repairs of wall by tenant

Hi,

I am a tenant protected under Maharashtra rent act. The room in which I stay, one of the wall is collapsed. I have applied to muncipal office for construction and they have granted me written permission to repair collapsed wall.
Should I go ahead?
Will my landlord take action on it?
What should I do?

A.Dear Client,
Go ahead with caution which means get it repaired with professional and keep accounts of all expenses ( vouchers/cash memo/ etc). Do not hesitate to pay GST in order to authenticate your expenses which will be adjusted towards your rent. So that everything will be in right order and can be produced as an evidence.Better to inform your landlord before the operation starts. That is all for the time being.
