I have made an agreement for 3 years now next month it's expiring but the land lord says right now he doesn't have and says to wait for sometime i have paid 18lakhs for 3 years
A.Dear Client,
If the lease amount is refundable as per the terms of the Lease Agreement executed between you and the Lessor/landlord on the expiry of the agreement, then on denial by the lessor to refund, you can claim the refund by serving a legal notice, failing with you have to pursue the matter before a competent Court of law by filing a money suit against the landlord/Lessor. Reach out to an Advocate for first-hand information and steps.

A.Hello,
If your landlord is not refunding the lease amount, you can consider taking the following legal actions:
Communicate with the landlord: Initiate written communication with the landlord, requesting the refund of the lease amount. Clearly state the reasons for the refund and provide any relevant documentation or evidence supporting your claim.
Legal notice: Consult with a lawyer to draft and send a legal notice to the landlord, demanding the refund within a specified period. The legal notice should clearly state the facts of the case, the amount to be refunded, and the consequences of non-compliance.
Mediation or negotiation: If the landlord is willing, you can attempt to resolve the issue through mediation or negotiation. This may involve engaging in discussions or involving a neutral third party to facilitate a resolution.
Consumer forum complaint: If the landlord refuses to refund the lease amount, you can file a complaint with the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. Provide all relevant documents and evidence to support your claim. The consumer forum will examine the case and may order the landlord to refund the amount along with any applicable compensation.
Civil lawsuit: If all other attempts fail, you can file a civil lawsuit against the landlord in the appropriate civil court. Engage a lawyer to assist you in drafting and filing the necessary legal documents and representing your case in court.
It is important to consult with a qualified lawyer who specializes in property law or consumer law to understand the specific legal options available to you based on the laws applicable to your situation. They can provide personalized advice and guide you through the legal process.
