A.Hello Client,

You may lodge a complaint against your friend at your local police station.
You may also send him a legal notice to recover your money if you know his permanent residential address.

Thanks & Regards

A.Hi client,

Do you have any agreement wherein it is mentioned that you have paid the same? Or any witnesses to declare the same? If yes then kindly gather the same and lodge an FIR. If you do not have any such evidences it is going to be a bit difficult to prove the same.
You can send a legal notice stating all the facts. After doing such measures if nothing works go for filing a civil suit, with relevant documents/ evidences.

A.Dear Client,
Based on your documentary proof behind the lending of money to your so-called online friend, you may at least try to get back the money otherwise chance is remote and almost impossible.

A.Dear client,

Document the evidence: Gather all the evidence related to the transaction, including any written communication, bank transfer details, receipts, or any other documentation that supports your claim. These records will be important when you take further action.

Attempt to contact the person: Although you mentioned that the person is currently avoiding your calls and messages, it's still worth trying to reach out to them again to see if there is a possibility of resolving the issue amicably. Make sure to keep a record of any attempts to contact them.

Report the incident: If your attempts to contact the person are unsuccessful or if you believe that you have been a victim of fraud, consider reporting the incident to the appropriate authorities. In India, you can file a complaint with your local police station or submit a complaint online through the Cyber Crime Reporting Portal of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Seek legal advice: Consult with a lawyer who specializes in fraud or consumer protection law. They can provide guidance on the legal options available to you and help you understand the best course of action based on the specific details of your case.

Be cautious moving forward: It's important to be cautious when engaging in financial transactions with online acquaintances or strangers. Exercise due diligence, conduct background checks, and be wary of any requests for money or personal information.
