Regarding police harrasment

Can the police pressurize a person, can I ask for his social media password...
And can a policeman lock a person in lock-up for 7-8 hours without any complaint?
A.Dear client,
The police can hold you in lockup till the expiry of a period of 24 hours before they can register a complaint against you or release you. Section 57 of the CrPC requires the police to present you before a Magistrate within 24 hours.
The police cannot pressurise a person to divulge his social media password. This is illegal and a blatant violation of the right to privacy enshrined under article 21 of the Constitution
