A.Dear Client,
Your legally married wife cannot be termed as an outsider or third party whose legal status overrides the claims of all others and accordingly, she got the locus standi to get or claim any document including the bank statement of her husband. As a Salary Account holder, if you open a joint account with your spouse or your blood relative by providing the Bank an acceptance letter/NOC from your company stating that they have no objection to the same, then in that case, Bank cannot be held liable for delivery of your bank statement to your spouse. When Banking Ombudsman finds no merit in your grievance, any further litigation on the self-same subject may not yield any desired relief for you. However, you may escalate your grievance and file an online complaint for the same cause of action to the Grievance Cell of RBI in the web link: https://cms.rbi.org.in/cms or contact RBI Toll-Free Number 14448 and lodge a complaint against the erring bank official.

A.Dear client,
Banks don't have any specific right to disclose particulars of your account to outsiders, violating secrecy of customers; but banks take an undertaking from you, under the KYC norms, to allow the bank to disclose such particulars to CIBIL or other bankers/ FIs. Please file a complaint against the bank
