Chargesheet and Final Report
What is the difference between Final Report (FR) and Chargesheet ?
Does FR also include some charges or what ?
Which procedure is better for the accused to get rid of all charges in Court ?
A.Dear Sir,
If charge sheet is filed it is better to file discharge application under Section 239 of Cr.P.C and if not successful then approach High Court for quashing of charge sheet.

A.Dear Sir,
After completion of FIR and after completion of Investigation in a cognizable offence the Police is supposed to file a Report under Sec 173 of Cr.P.C before the Magistrate, which is known as Police Report or Final Report.
The difference between Final Report and Charge Sheet
The charge sheet is followed by the Final report. As the name suggests, the Final report refers to that document which records the conclusion arrived at by the Police after the investigation process.
