Shopkeer cheated

Our old Microwave was not working, so my wife connected to an electric shop to find out the fault in it. Instead of finding out the fault and confirming the repair cost, the shopkeeper directly sends it to the repair shop. Now asking us huge repair cost or he will not return our microwave.

Dear Client,
In the given situation, if the shopkeeper raised any Bill charging a hefty amount for repairing the Microwave and took it assuring him to pay the charges at the time of taking delivery of the repaired article. Make out a survey in the market to assess the actual cost of repair charges for the same service. If the survey report reveals an exorbitant difference in the charges, then serve a legal notice to the Shopkeeper and file a complaint against him for unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act before the Dist. Consumer Commission claiming the return of repaired articles in good condition on payment of reasonable charges and compensation for harassment. Reach out to an Advocate for guidance and steps.
