Today one broker advised us that as a landlord we can execute two original rental agreements for the same property so that the tenant can keep one original with him.Is it valid to do so because the certificate number in the eStamp paper will be different for both originals. Please advise.

A.Dear Client,
As a party to a rent or lease agreement, the tenant also deserves an original copy of the Agreement jointly executed by the landlord and tenant on the same subject. Different certificate numbers of e-stamp paper do not have any effect or role to play in the matter.

A.Dear client,
The landlord typically keeps the original and gives the tenant a copy of it. There should be two original copies, one each for both. Lessor. Lessee may also have Original if made two Original agreement with the consent of both the parties and sub-registrar.
