Harassment by gym people

Iam 60 year old lady joined a gym in my local market after paying 2000 monthly fee i was allowed to enter the gym but there trainer was not able to tell me how to start the treadmill at last they asked me to do cardio on one of the treadmill but when i was walking on treadmill it suddenly increased its speed and i somehow managed to stop it and prevented my fall which could have been fatal so within 20 minutes of giving the money i requested them to pay me back the 2000 rs i gave but they refused and asked me to get out abused me with bad words. Not even consider that they are disrespecting harassing and looting hard earned money of a senior citizen. Now how can i get my money back and if possible take some action
If you are in receipt of a bill for payment of monthly fees to the Gym, then without providing any service to a consumer they can not deny the refund of said fees without providing any service to the consumer who is not satisfied with the service of the Gym Supervisor/Instructor. So being a Sr. Citizen you may escalate your grievance through any VCO(Voluntary Consumer Organisation) before the Consumer Forum claiming a refund of fees and compensation for harassment. The complaint is required to be filed within 2 years from the date of the cause of action. i.e, the date of denial by the GYM center to refund your fees.
If the gym refuses to refund your money, consider submitting a formal complaint in writing, addressed to the management or owner of the gym. Clearly outline the incident, your dissatisfaction, and your request for a refund. You can also approach the local consumer rights protection agency or forum and file a complaint against the gym.
