A.Dear Client,
Taking the custody of the company's assets unauthorisedly for non-payment of salary on the due date, you have taken the law into your own hands and accordingly, apart from disciplinary actions from the employer, you may face other legal consequences for the misconduct or offense already committed by you. So, before it is too late, negotiate the matter with the employer beforehand to save your service and avoid legal consequences. This is not the legal way to resolve your grievance against the Employer, instead, you have to approach the concerned Labour Enforcement Officer(LEO) who is the inspector under the Payment of Wages Act, 1936 to resolve your grievance legally.

A.Dear Client,
Firstly, review your employment contract and terms of employment to ensure you are aware of the agreed-upon salary payment schedule and any provisions related to salary delays. If the issue remains unresolved, you can consider filing a complaint with the appropriate labor authorities in your state. In India, the labor department or labor commissioner's office is responsible for addressing labor-related disputes. While it may be tempting to withhold company assets as a form of leverage to get your salary, it may have legal implications. It's generally recommended to resolve disputes through legal channels rather than taking matters into your own hands.
