Refund from edtech Refund from edtech

I have joined scaler academy in July, There took an payment of 40K rupees and opened a loan of 2.64 Lakh via an NBFC company. They have a refund policy of 14 days. Now it's more than 14 days so they are denying to give me the refund. I cannot continue with the course due to my work and personal commitments and want to cancel my enrollment and close the loan. The course was on pause till now ( they have course pause policy ).

How do i proceed with this? They keep telling me about their 14 days refund policy and are denying to refund my money and close the loan.

A.Dear Client,
When the cooling period for cancellation of an online course is 15 days from joining the course as per the terms of the course and on the expiry of said period, you lose the chance to cancel the course. So, for lapse on your part, an educational institute cannot be held responsible or cannot be compelled to refund the course fees even through litigation. In the prevailing situation, you need to obtain a cancellation of course certification from the institute and on the basis of said cancellation certificate you need to inform the concerned NBFC to cancel the ECS mandate immediately to stop the recovery of the educational loan by repaying the outstanding amount of the loan to save cumulative interest on the loan and to keep your CIBIL records protected from further damage. In case both institute and the NBFC did not take any action on their part that wiill be treated as deficiency in service and in that situation you may file complaint before the Consumer Court against both institute and the NBFC for deficiency in service claiming compensation for harassment and refund of tutution fees. The complaint must be filed within two years of cause of action.

A.Dear Client
Go through the terms and conditions of the refund policy and the loan agreement provided by Scaler Academy and the NBFC company. Look for any clauses that may pertain to your situation and understand the grounds on which they are denying your request. Reach out to the customer support team of Scaler Academy and the NBFC company. Clearly communicate your concerns and provide details regarding your inability to continue with the course. Request a clear explanation for the denial of the refund and the closure of the loan and seek guidance on the steps you need to take to resolve the issue.
