A.Dear client,

These cyber crimes works as a chain of transfer, Any account involved in between, will be under the check and will be frozen.
Firstly, if you are now free from all the liabilities and know that there is no case pending yet, then it's good, no worries in that end.

Yes you can file a case for defamation and harassment, against the person who has committed this act of falsely involving you in a cyber crime.

A.Dear Client,
In this situation, it's crucial to gather evidence of the transaction and any communication between you and X. Maintain a record of the funds transfer and the subsequent transfer back to X. If you have proof that the transaction was legitimate and not fraudulent, it can serve as a strong defense. Consult with a local lawyer to understand your rights and explore the possibility of filing a court case against X for false accusations and potential defamation. Additionally, you may consider sending a legal notice through your lawyer, highlighting the facts of the transaction and expressing your intent to defend your reputation. Prompt legal advice and documentation are key elements in resolving such matters efficiently.

A.Dear Client,
Once a cybercrime scam or fraudulent transaction is reported online to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal(NCCRP), on the instruction of the Cyber Crime Cell, the investigating team starts the routine process of investigation immediately freezing the suspected accounts of the victim's Bank account and you have to wait for the completion of the investigation of the scam by the investigating agency. The length of time it takes to investigate a cybercrime can vary greatly depending on the complexity of the case, the resources available to the investigators, and the cooperation of the victim. To get the status of the investigation, you may log on to https://cybercrime.gov.in. Be ready with the details of the transactions to refute the complaint of Mr. X in case the investigating agency calls you for investigation purposes in connection with the reported Cybercrime. You may consult with a cyber crime expert or an Advocate handling cyber laws for further guidance and suitable steps.
