Marital status incorrect in work visa
Hi, By mistake I have mentioned my marital status as single while applying for Canada work visa whereas I was already divorced. That time my passport marital status was also single. But recently I renewed my passport and mentioned my marital status as Divorced in application. As I am about to travel to Canada, is this an issue if visa marital status is Single and passport is divorced? However, the Divorced status is not printed in physical passport.
A.Dear Client,
It's essential to ensure accuracy in your personal information when applying for a visa. While your current passport reflects the correct marital status as divorced, the potential mismatch with the visa application stating single might be a problem. It's advisable to contact the relevant Canadian immigration authorities or consulate to inform them about the discrepancy and seek guidance on the appropriate steps to rectify the situation. Providing accurate and updated information is crucial for a smooth immigration process, and addressing this issue proactively will help avoid any complications during your travel to Canada.
