Received a notice from a police station to report in 7 days as my vehicle registered on my name is under investigation via IPC 279/336.

The vehicle is registered under District Noida and I currently reside in Noida as well, but the Police Station which has sent the notice is in Lucknow. I was in LKO recently when this overspeeding incident might have happened while going to airport.

Please advise as to how to proceed and resolve this from my current location.

A.Dear Client,
If you have received a notice to report to a police station in Lucknow regarding an overspeeding incident involving your vehicle, even though your vehicle is registered in Noida, it's crucial to take appropriate steps to address the situation. Firstly, contact the police station in Lucknow through the provided contact details in the notice. Explain your current location in Noida and inquire about the specifics of the case.
If it's a case of mistaken identity or if you have evidence that proves you were not in Lucknow during the alleged overspeeding incident, provide this information to the police over the phone or in writing. Additionally, consider seeking legal advice to understand your rights and obligations in this situation.
If necessary, you may request to transfer the case to the jurisdiction where the incident occurred or approach the local police in Noida for guidance. It's essential to act promptly, either by responding to the Lucknow police or seeking legal assistance, to avoid any potential complications in the investigation.
Thankyou
