Social media and false legal notice Social media and false legal notice

My customer rented a dress from me, we made a contact and on that contact return date and damage penalties are written there. Saying "i was take all charge". He don't return on time and delay the return, he returned when we were unavailable and we cannot check what he returned on the spot. Inside the package it was another dress and not the dress which he rented from us. We informed him about him and told him to return the dress he rented, he said he will return it, we contacted him again after 8 days, he still said he will return it, we contacted him again and again and said he will return it. But till date he don't. One day we called him up and told him that if he don't return it we will have to take actions, and then he said he will not pay for something he does not lost (after saying he will return it multiple times) he even said he will come over to my place to argue. While we were explaining our shop policy he said things like "so talkative" . We told him, you have signed a contact and if u don't want to take charge we will have to expose you at our page, he told us to post, and after he gives us his consent we posted that he haven't returned our dress and that he disrespect us. We mentioned him at the post. After posting things about him he asked us about the fine which he need to pay up for the lost, he was still very mad and bursting out and telling us things like " you guys are not available when i return it, mention that in the post too" and i told him okay we will edit like you wanted, he burst out again " i am not even telling you to remove the post I don't have anything to say about your post". And like he said we edited the post and mentioned that we were not home when he returned things (it was his fault for not returning on time, the date was set).

But now he send me a legal notice saying, we posting him without his consent and humiliated him in social media. It was also added that our post was full of lies and was defamation. In that legal notice they told us to post an apology at our shopping page and mention him.

I talked to his lawyer who send me the legal notice, i provide evidence that no lies are written in our post and that it cannot be defamation, i also told the lawyer that it was posted according to his consent. She have all the evidence and also knows that there are many lies in the legal notice which she send me. Now she told me past is past and don't want to go as the legal notice and is telling me to apologise becuz i mentioned his username at the post. The legal notice says, to apologise becuz of posting lies about him and without his consent, now that I have evidence she changed all the words and does not go according to the legal notice. Can i sue her? Also does the law even want people to post apologies in social media, i heard they made agreement but not on social media.

A.Dear Sir,
You need not worry because you have done only legal things. If he did anything or approach any Court then you can resist the same legally. You need not reply to his legal notice and just ignore it as you can take the defence as you wish if you files any defamation case in any Court.
