A.Dear Client,
Playing online games that involve skill, referred to as "games of skill," is legal in India. On the other hand, games of chance, where outcomes rely on luck rather than skill, are considered "games of chance" and are illegal. Fantasy sports games are categorized as skill-based activities and are not viewed as gambling or betting. Judicial decisions and regulatory bodies in India recognize fantasy sports as a legitimate business, exempting them from the Public Gambling Act of 1867. Participating in fantasy sports is legal and does not impact an individual's criminal record. However, individuals selected for government service should delete or deactivate such gaming or trading apps before taking up the position, as engaging in other trades or occupations is prohibited in government service.
Thankyou

A.Dear Client,
Online games are played using human intellect, i.e skill, and because of the 'game of skill', and which is legal in India. In contrast, online games played using chance where results are obtained by chance not using human intellect is a 'Game of chance' which is not legal in India. Fantasy sports games are not regarded as gambling or betting in India, but rather as skill-based activities. Players can take pleasure in these games knowing that they are legitimate as determined by judicial decisions and regulatory bodies. Fantasy sports are a legitimate business in India and do not fall under the Public Gambling Act, of 1867. Since it is not illegal, it does not reflect in the criminal record of any person. However, engagement in other trades or occupations is prohibited once a person is selected for Govt. Service. So, it is advisable, that the existing status of all these gaming apps or trading apps should be deleted or deactivated before applying for or taking up a Government job.
