Civil case being settled outside court but under pressure Civil case being settled outside court but under pressure

I have purchased a land from a developer and paid the amount through installments. But it is still not registered in my favor. The developer was absconding, and made an FIR. Now we want to settle outside the court. We are not happy with the settlement because the developer is paying back the amount that was collected.
The transaction happened around 12 years back
Can I reopen the case which was settled outside the court?

A.Dear Client,
Given the complex nature of your situation, it's recommended that you consult with a legal professional to assess your options more thoroughly. The fact that the developer is absconding and an FIR has been filed adds layers of complication. If you are dissatisfied with the proposed settlement and considering the considerable time that has passed since the transaction (around 12 years), you may explore legal avenues to protect your rights. Depending on the jurisdiction, there may be statutes of limitations or other factors affecting your ability to reopen the case. A legal expert can guide you on the feasibility of reopening the matter, potential legal remedies, and the best course of action to pursue a fair resolution.
Thankyou

A.Dear Sir,
It seems you have voluntarily signed all the settlement documents and now you cannot say no because you seems to be educated and understood the meaning of settlement.
