A.Dear Client,
In legal matters, whether it's a civil or criminal case, individuals involved have the right to choose their own advocate or lawyer. The selection of an advocate is a personal choice and is not appointed by any external authority. Parties can consult with legal professionals, law firms, or public defenders based on their preferences, financial capacity, or eligibility for legal aid. It's crucial to engage a competent advocate who specializes in the relevant area of law to ensure effective representation and navigate the legal process efficiently. In criminal cases, if someone cannot afford legal representation, they may be entitled to a public defender appointed by the court. However, in civil cases, the choice of hiring a private attorney or seeking legal aid is typically at the discretion of the parties involved.
Thankyou

A.Dear Sir,
In a dispute or litigation, there are two parties, one Petitioner/Plaintiffs and the other Opposite Party/Defendants and both parties appoint their legal counsel/Advocate as per their necessity/suitability and choice to establish their case before the Court. So, if someone raised a case(civil or criminal) against you, he would engage a Lawyer as per his choice and if you raise a case against someone(civil or criminal) then you would engage a Lawyer as per your choice.
