Leaves during notice period
I had approved leaved of 8 before I resigned. However, I was told that I cannot take a leave during notice period, even though no written clause mentions this in my contract
A.Dear Client,
While in the notice period, you have the option to take medical or earned leave from your company, but the duration is subject to various factors. The employer holds the final decision on approving leave requests. The employee enjoys similar rights during the notice period as outlined in their regular employment contract, including the same salary, paid sick leaves, and other contractual benefits. It's essential for the employee to professionally communicate their leave request, providing a clear rationale. During the notice period, employees should exercise vigilance to ensure a seamless completion of their responsibilities before departing from the company.

A.Dear Client,
You can take medical leave, or earned leave from your company during the notice period. But the length of the leave will depend on several factors. The final decision on whether to grant a leave rests with the employer. An employee is entitled to more or less the same rights in their notice period as in their regular contract of employment. It includes the same salary, paid sick leaves, and other contractual employee benefits. An employee should communicate their request to his employer in a professional manner explaining the necessity behind the request for leave. During a notice period, an employee should be more cautious and vigilant for the smooth discharge of their assignment before leaving a company.
