A.Dear Client,

In the State of Gujarat, the stamp duty for residential rent agreements with a duration of less than one year is calculated at INR 3.55 for every INR 100 of annual rent. Specifically, for rent agreements or lease agreements spanning 11 months, a stamp paper of INR 100 denomination is sufficient. It is important to note that these stamp papers should be purchased in the name of either party involved in the rental agreement, whether it be the landlord or the tenant. This ensures the proper documentation and legality of the agreement in accordance with the state's regulations.
